Music education of Jarosław Dutczak began in elementary school. He was a promising pianist but later, however, he grew to love percussion instruments and by playing them he improved his craftsmanship. He graduated Music Academy in Katowice where he belonged to percussion class of prof. Jan Zegalski. He started cooperation with Great Symphony Orchestra of the Polish Radio and Television in Katowice (now known as the National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra Katowice ) in his first year at the Academy. He has been playing with the Orchestra for 10 years.
During this time, he also toured with the The Silesian Philharmonic in Katowice, Opera in Bytom, Operetta in Gliwice and European orchestras. He has participated in numerous concerts in Poland and in Europe. He took part in many recordings: archival, for films and plays.
However, by playing only percussion instruments treated as solo instruments or becoming a part of an orchestra, despite having a huge potential, he was not able to express all his emotions.
Since he was a child he was fascinated with film music. Because of this fascination he has decided to compose. Remarkable sensitivity and his experience in orchestral playing allowed him to feel the subtle emotions hidden in an image and fit a sound to it so that they could create a coherent whole. Furthermore, he was always fascinated with the American cinema music, a broad plan music, as well as such which may be an illustration of an ordinary conversation, unspoken words, or a banal gesture.
